The official launch event for the Centre of Excellence in Treatable Traits was held on 29th April 2021. The event featured presentations by Professor Vanessa McDonald, Conjoint Professor Peter Gibson and Professor Ian Pavord.
The evening presentations started with a moving sound file of the voices of people with severe asthma describing the impact their asthma has on their health and wellbeing.
Professor Pavord followed with an overview of Treatable Traits, Conjoint Professor Gibson then discussed the purpose and burden of severe asthma. Finishing the presentations for the evening was Professor Vanessa McDonald with the plans for the Centre and a reveal of the website.
The Centre was delighted to share the evening with 100 guests.
