Background

Dr. Graham Hall is the CEO of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Sydney, Australia. In April 2021 Graham joined the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this appointment, Graham had over 25 years of experience in respiratory science and lung health, including as Deputy Director and senior researcher at the Telethon Kids Institute, a clinical scientist and as a Director of peak bodies (Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science (ANZSRS)) and community organisations (Asthma WA). In each of these roles, he brought together diverse stakeholders to improve the lung health of individuals, their families and the community. Graham was internationally recognised for his contributions to respiratory physiology and science and has contributed to both research and policy development. His contributions to the field were recognised with him being awarded as a Fellow of the ANZSRS in 2010, Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand in 2015 and European Respiratory Society (ERS) in 2017.
