ERS Congress 2025

The Centre had nine staff members attend the 2025 ERS Congress in the Netherlands. The Congress brings together people from respiratory clinical care, science, education and research to share knowledge and generate new ideas to lead the world in respiratory medicine.  

Some of the fascinating talks and presentations our researchers gave at the conference included:

Dr Joice Mara Oliveira presented:

  • Body composition and muscle function in bronchiectasis
  • Low muscle strength is related to worse clinical outcomes over one year in people with bronchiectasis
  • Sociodemographic factors as determinants of physical activity and sedentary behaviour in adults with asthma

Dr Michael Fricker presented :

  • Differential impact of T2 pathway biologics on IL5R-expressing mast cell progenitors in severe asthma

Dr Gabriela Martins Costa Gomes presented:
