The objective of the roundtable discussion was to convene a group of experts to discuss the health impact of prolonged landscape fire smoke exposure on people with asthma and to develop a research and implementation plan.
Discussion was framed around two sessions.
Session 1: Health Impact of landscape fire smoke exposure in people with asthma, gaps in knowledge, develop policy recommendations and future research questions
Session 2: Landscape fire smoke exposure mitigation strategies, gaps in knowledge, develop policy recommendations and future research questions
The meeting was extremely productive, and will result in some recommendations for the mitigation of smoke exposure people with asthma.
